yes, her father, joão, was one of the original kings of bossa, and her mother, miúcha, was also a chanteuse. and these days, everyone recognizes bebel for her '00 debut, tanto tempo. this time, say adios to her bossa nova background and jazzy covers. it's original material and a new acoustic sound she goes.

check out tracks, "os novos yorkinos," a tribute that roughly translates to "the new yorkers," and "bring back the love," with a 'lil help from the brazilian girls, (the band not the bundchen sisters).
