move over, steak tartare. paris finally goes vegan with the recently opened la victoire supreme du coeur resto in the marais.
a nod to hippy chic, la victoire's interior is 70s mod without the hemp. start with a cherry bomb cocktail of lime juice, amarena and club soda. yes, that's right. it's non-alcoholic, so if you're looking to get loopy and large, this isn't the spot for you. but if health and taste are your main focus, sample one of la victoire's themed daily specials. indian thali of the day is served with curry. a south american platter comes filled with rice, red beans and salsa. no meat here, but the faux chix provencal is made with fennel, tomatoes and olives. finish off with a very berry crumble for dessert and you have a hearty french feast sans butter, cheese and meat.
