it's not quite april in paris, but brand new boutique april 77 is so excited about opening their flagship, they're jumping the gun a few weeks early.

think of the store as vogue-meets-rolling stone. it's for the one who loves to rock out to the classics, but always has the latest looks. retro and new at the same time, april 77 has turned weird punk 80s fashion into, dare you say, clean-cut classics. skinny rocker pants are low-slung; one-button, double breasted blazers have names like "psychokiller," "melody," and "dictator," and are the spring statements for men. women can worship the guy's tailored vests, pants with fringed seams and purple cotton motorcycle jackets, all in the new church line for spring 2008. the art deco spot was designed by stephen thomas (responsible for biba, the swingin' 60s london concept store), and is PETA friendly.

you know what that means. your faux leather jacket might not be a lot of rock, but has plenty of roll.
