the purveyor of the ho-hum closet staple is now in cahoots with uber designer andree putman for a new luxe spa and super boutique in the place vendome. yes, just as you were ready to give up on anne fontaine's vision, she shows up with a bluestone waterfall and amazon-inspired fruits and oils from her native brazil. which brings us to the spa's swedish, shiatsu and four-handed massage. um, and the amazonian baptism based on tribal rituals that slims away the love (as in handles).
