on sail

you're a star. why? you've come up with one of the best ideas for an afternoon escape in a long time. you're going sailing on the hudson on your own private sailboat and planning it was simple. you called up captain tim wolbert and asked if he could take you out on his 47 foot beneteau for a while.

look - if you have to brave another corner fight for a taxi - you're not sure what you'll do. so rack up a bunch of friends - let's say 5. tell them to meet you over at chelsea piers with a couple of bottles of wine and some fromage (that's cheese in french). and before you know it you'll be listening to roots, rock, reggae with a good cocktail and the sails up.

okay so maybe you can't really swim in the hudson. but if you're looking for more than just 4 hours on a sailboat, feel free to spend the night (or a few) and who knows where you could wake up. shelter island. montauk. even the carribean.

you haven't had an idea this good since mutiny on the bounty.
