bob, edie, jimi. you don't have to be a legend to hang out at the new star lounge at the chelsea hotel. well, maybe you do.

former serena owners, charles ferri and vekrum kaushik, have transformed the space into a sleek lounge with secluded rooms, glowing chandeliers, and a few celebs thrown in for good measure. and as you might expect, it promises to be more intimate and exclusive than its hamptons sibling, the star room. yes, they've already hosted cynthia rowley's fashion week party and have been frequented by the likes of heather graham (also owner's g-friend). the space was designed by richardson sadeki (bliss spa, the prada store, and the milk gallery) afterall.

check out "room 100," named after the suite where the infamous last fight between sid and nancy went down. then there's the retro bar, made of zebra-wood offering cocktails named after the ill-starred factory girl, edie sedgwick.

you might consider changing your name to hastings just to get in.
