ready to trade the whipping wind and rain for a warm spanish breeze? then head to the new midtown resto islero, opening today.

exec chef jessica floyd heads up the kitchen at this spanish spot. she may only be 24 years old, but she's got plenty of chops, having trained under daniel boulud, michel trios gros and pierre gagnaire. that's enough cred to give this spot a try. for the setting, think black-and-white photos of spain, choco colored banquettes and marble accents. for the eats, get ready to taste crispy pork belly with olive oil poached apples, seafood in sugarcane broth and sherry-marinated hanger steak. a true girl's girl, floyd doesn't joke around when it comes to dessert. with pumpkin churros and fig-filled sopaipillas on the menu, you know she's dead serious.

it's sure to be your spanish lullaby.
