yohji's got a brand new bag. except it's a store, as in the brand new adidas Y-3 store in the design district.
this is adidas' 11th store launched in collaboration with japanese designer yohji yamamoto, but only the second in the US. the opening of the miami location coincides with the brand's fifth anniversary, and no expenses were spared with this stop. the two-story space keeps things minimal, reflecting the brand's orange, black and white logo in its color scheme. ground floor is reserved for a retail space and the upstairs has a space designed for art expos and private events. the Y-3 store even has plans to set up video installations and will have a large presence during december's art basel event. and like all of the stores, this spot will sell clothing, swimwear and accessories for the avant garde athlete.
