tired of tipping the scales? nina johnson is on a mission to curb visual gluttony at the recently opened gallery diet.

the former gallerist at bernice steinbaum gallery hit the wynwood district last week and is looking to keep things simple and sleek. johnson invited six artists to set up separate installations inside her 2,300-square-foot stark white space. expect to see local artist maria jose arjona suspended from a wall with a speaker lodged in her mouth. want something a bit more traditional? see daniel milewski's 600 pound hanging vintage book sculpture. and who hasn't felt this way? give nod to andrew mowbray's you make me crazy exhibit (pictured). gallery diet will also feature a lecture and panel series, as well as play host to visiting curators and artists.

this newest fad diet won't leave you hungry.
