setai down.

no foams, gelees, emulsions, or reductions. more like hearty fare you'd find at a tuscan vineyard. okay, we'll get to the point: the grill at the setai is opening.

this 48 seater is smack dab in between the hotel's mother of pearl bar and the courtyard. try not to trip over martha or lenny on your way to your table. but you'll be pretty focused when seated with beginner's treats like fresh antipasti, persian feta, langurian olives, grilled eggplant, and the such.

as for the digs, pressed metal tables, mixture of slate, brick, and teak, and floor-to-20-foot-ceiling wine storage, is the work of setai designer, jean michel gathy. so you can eat and drink your way around the global menu.

now if only dinner came with a room.
