the hotel astor is once again a hot nighttime noshing destination now that stylish resto joley has opened in the former johnny v space.

the subterranean sepia-hued dining room designed by nicky bernstein (of michy fame) is futuristic glam. think a palette of gleaming white, black and silver. you almost wish you could be on a hallucinogenic with all the textural stimuli in this spot. velvet curtains, white billowy sheers and silver painted globes hang from the ceiling. the upstairs bar, reminiscent of a forgotten speakeasy, is a swank backdrop to down health-conscious cocktails with organic ingreds like acai and lychee. chef john suley (of cafe joley in boca) has apprenticed with the likes of boulud and ramsay (that's daniel and gordon to you). feast on fare like sautéed frogs legs, tasmanian sea trout and grand marnier crème brûlée.

did we mention the outdoor courtyard with candlelit lanterns and a soothing waterfall? we just did.
