wish you could spend your nights with edie, andy and mick at the factory? (you just may be stuck in a super-hip time warp.) but if your loft is more pottery barn than pop art, you'll want to add this artel mod bowl ($550) to your swinger pad.

the glass bowl's geometric design comes to life in nine colors that will appeal to your inner twiggy. narrow on the bottom but wide on top, this is the perfect container to show off your golden globes. (globe grapes, that is.) and it's not just another pretty face. artel stresses a bauhausian type of functionality to their prods. started in 1998 by designer karen feldman, artel is named after traditional czech artisans. and that's because the company (though true blue american) uses eastern euro techniques that date back centuries. each piece of molten crystal is mouth-blown, meaning it can take days to produce just one piece. artel has enjoyed success with a number of retail partnerships, most notably when they were commissioned by rolls-royce to design a commemorative bowl.

so step to it, hep cat. this bowl full of cherries won't last forever.
