take a wok on the wild side: philippe is opening at the gansevoort south, and this new york transplant is about to fill miami's dim sum void.
like its NYC sib, the glossy black, white and red sinocentric supper club will be equal parts glam and gourmand. helmed by hong kong-born toque philippe chow and partner stratis morfogen, this shrine to haute chinese cooking will be churning out tradish asian eats like crispy peking duck, chicken satay, fresh pulled noodles and spinach-infused green prawns. the man knows his way around a wonton. just take a look for yourself through the open air kitchen while settling into one of the 400 seats. and be on the lookout for more to come: philippe left the celeb-kissed mr. chow after 26 years, but is set to open additional spots in vegas and chicago later this year.
our suggestion? snag a table on the alfresco patio before a hilton does.
