who says all ex-lotus promoting, nightclubbing, supermodel-connected new york playboys never grow up? in fact, heading to say, africa to put his camera to work is just what former after-darker, scott harrison did.
mercy - a mixed media exhibition of his 239-day trip aboard a west-african medical ship is as divided as he, and includes photos, installation video, and soundscapes sure to question just how important bottle service really is. harrison's even gathered his former a-list for an exhibition gala organized to fund surgeries abroad.
of his 50,000 photographs, 108 images will be displayed for the cause. and supporters include fashion houses christian louboutin, mark jacobs, and prada (to name a few), who've all contributed goods for a silent auction.
not to say that the club-promoter has left the building (or velvet rope) permanently. but for the time being "mercy" is his art, and not a night at marquis.
