it was celeb central at the recent one-year anniversary party held last week at manhattan's man ray restaurant hosted by sean penn. the star-studded list included the likes of mike myers, robin wright penn, jack nicolson, kevin bacon, edward norton, adam sandler, lisa ling, gina gershon and them some. hundreds of people showed up for the event and the paparazzi camped eagerly outside the entrance door.

the one-year anniversary also marked the recent introduction of a delicious new menu created by executive chef frederic kieffer. this year, man ray delights its guests with a mouth-watering variety of food including a stuffed eggplant "provencale" with tomato, zucchini, spinach + mozzarella (one of our favorites), a seaweed scented branzino filet, and a grilled aged sirloin steak with yukon gold potato gratin. appetizers include a vine-ripened tomato sorbet (yes, as in ice cold) and prince edward island mussels in coconut broth. we recommend trying out the new menu for yourself.
