as a francophile, your appetite for french restos is seemingly insatiable. the newest brasserie for your indulgence, delphine, opens january 28th.
innovative dining group's (of katana, sushi roku and boa) latest eatery is sprawled across 6,000 square feet of the W hotel hollywood. three distinct areas beckon. and the palette of blues and whites, coupled with the indoor-meets-outdoor layout of the bistro, conjures memories of the côte d'azure. (this sig look comes at the hands of zeff designs.) wicker furnishings, silver gilded antique cabinetry, living trees, a carrera marble-topped bar, classic archways, and ceiling fans add a breeze of boho beach. and white, ceramic-tiled walls will remind you of the paris metro. exec chef sascha lyon (daniel, balthazar, pastis) cooks provençal dishes with a med influence. expect trout meunière, moules frites au pernod, and specials like risotto milanese with braised veal. natch, there's plenty of seafood at the raw bar. segue to station hollywood, the dual level outdoor bar and lounge for hand-crafted cocktails, or start there with small bites. a 600-foot outdoor screen retracts for special events. finish in the living room, a dramatic, mod enclave with a state-of-the-art sound system and 40-foot ceilings.
