you already dropped half your rent on your new rodriguez, so a $25 burger at neiman's isn't exactly an option. good thing there's a new (and much healthier) alternative to your post-shopping hunger pangs, now that greenleaf gourmet chopshop opens thursday.

the old breakfast club spot has been stripped, redesigned and is all about the color du jour, green. this high-concept salad bar has fun with the green theme (from a "greenplate special" to large lettuce head murals). but it also takes its namesake seriously, with low-energy delray lighting and fresh ingreds from local scarborough farms. head chef and owner jonathan rollo (a former manager of eat. on sunset and assistant general manager of patina at the hollywood bowl) knows fast, efficient and healthy catering. on the menu, expect mix and match veggies, flame-grilled proteins and housemade dressings (like lemongrass lychee vinaigrette). can't decide? try the mexplosion wrap, with black bean salsa, BBQ shrimp and lemon-lime dressing. the resto also has a unique selection of beer and wine (with suggested pairings) listed on the menu.

green means many things these days. for you? green means go.
