feeling caged in? if the answer is yes, you might as well have a cocktail in hand at the west end's new electric birdcage.

consider it london's newest night spot where you can perch yourself on one of several hand-shaped chairs and take in the explosion of color, courtesy of designer shaun clarkson. the eclectic vibe (think giant birdcages hanging from a fuchsia ceiling and black stallion sculptures) makes the 'cage (as we'll call it for short) a wower, supplemented by dim sum bites like tempura calamari and veggie spring rolls. if it's the drink, sip signature cocktails like electric lemonade (vodka, berries, lemonade and orange curacao) or the electric birdcage (of course), a champagne cocktail for up to eight people. tip back at the carousel-inspired bar and be prepared to take an electric ride.

so fasten your seatbelts.
