inspired by art deco design and a bohemian spirit, new chelsea nightclub the
valmont opens this month at the site of the famed 60s music venue café des artistes (favorite haunt of david bowie and the rolling stones). plush couches and velvet hangings are teamed with bright neon signs and gold-beaded curtains. dutch vintage lighting and individual music control systems are avail in each of the valmont's private booths. it's just the place for decadent, dangerous liaisons. 226
