when you start to get bored with the usual high tech iThis and iThat, why not try out a new gadget with an air of retro cool: the lomography diana F+ camera (£59.46).

the first diana cam was a plastic fantastic creation dreamt up in the 60s by a hong kong-based manufacturer. it was dirt cheap (cost a buck back then), but met an untimely demise after it failed to become a hit on the global market. add forty plus years, a cult following and now the über-cool tool of the trade is back. apparently avant garde photographers can't get enough of the diana cam's raw and gritty pics. and now you can get it too. purchase a starter kit and snap away for some dreamy lo-fi shots. think super soft images, saturated colours, unpredictable blurring and totally random contrasts.

you know what they say: take a picture. it'll last longer than 40 years.
