imagine a life-size trailer adorned top to
bottom in millions of glittering beads. it's the work of artist liza
lou and
her exhibition of testimony presented by jeffrey
deitch projects on wooster street now through november 30th.
"trailer," a 35 foot long spartan mobile mansion took one year to
adorn by the new york artist.
the exhibition also includes a snarling dog, a child on an a flooded open coffin,
and a raging bonfire covered in swarovski crystals. liza lou features
a range of new works through which she reveals a dark and nostalgic mood recalling
her upbringing.
check out the cross between film noir and bible belt culture and an artist
known to be worth seeing.
