she's only twelve. and extremely talented. and is the freshest face on the dallas fashion scene. but don't think jewelry designer kelly alexandra has it easy. she still has a curfew.

until recently, this precocious prep was just your average tween. boys and books were her only concerns, and jewelry making was a mere hobby. until she hit it big. real big for a twelve year old. her mother wore a nine-foot-long sterling silver necklace to an art show hoping to showcase her daughter's handiwork and it worked. it caught the attention of local designer abi ferrin and a partnership was born. the designer adored the piece and demanded to know where it came from.

fast forward eight months and kelly is still busy with books, boys and selling her jewelry at ferrin's boutique, the revolving door. her work, made mostly with semi precious stones and silver, is also featured in ferrin's spring 2008 collection.

not bad for a girl who still has homework to do.
