he's left quite a mark on the dallas dining scene. and you know what they say about a man with a huge skillet: great home fries, obvi. fearing's restaurant is now open.
outwardly, your proper self is like eliza doolittle (post-coaching, of course). you sit up straight, fold your napkin and dab just right. celeb chef dean fearing, formerly of the mansion on turtle creek, is looking to have all things just right with this one. open just a few days now (in conjunction with the unveiling of the ritz-carlton dallas), fearing's is opulent and inviting. natural lighting from the large windows plays off of the taupe and sienna color scheme. serving breakfast through dinner (and evening guacamole in the lobby), the resto is divided into seven different dining sections, including the gallery, oak bar with outdoor fireplaces and sendero glass pavilion. the cuisine itself cannot be called anything short of bold and dynamic. tear into south texas nilgai antelope or apricot barbecued white quail. suffice to say, it's not for the dining dainty.
luckily, you're not afraid to get your hands dirty.
