the
east-end's most renowned surf icon - tony caramanico (pictured
left) - offers private surf lessons to all who dare. since '63, TC has
mastered the waves, championed over a dozen surf competitions, opened up
a surf art museum, and even had a channing surfboard manufactured after
him.
he conducts lessons at ditch beach, montauk's premiere surf gathering, and his
students brave the waves in the early a.m. before the wind kicks in (or before
they get kicked by the waves that is - but that's
just minutiae).
