london | going green.
now if miss muffet had found suitable furnishings, she wouldn't have had to rely on frumpy tuffets or intrusive spiders. the new green & fay concept store, opening today, has a new rhyme: life's incomplete without the right seat.
learn from your past design mistakes with a field trip to green & fay. the new design store is celebrating its opening during london design week, so whilst you're oohing and aahing over wallpapers and fabrics across town, stop off at the islington shop. G&F promises to feature designs by "established furniture classics" plus modern work by today's great visionaries in a gallery-type space. the launch of G&F is in collab with hip, young DecodeLondon (pictured) along with brazilian designer carlos motta, and paintings by arthur neal n.e.a.c., gerry keon and philip mount. upcoming works include 20th-century scandinavian design and domestic british furniture from the inter-war period, which means that you can change your flat as often as you change your mind.
the trick to find a perfect chair? you can't just find it anywhere. green & fay. 137-139 essex road, NW1 2NR. islington. euston square tube. 0207.7040455. now open.
