we know irish (the celtics). we know italian (giacomo's in the north end). but it's time to learn french. as in the south end's new gaslight, brasserie du coin.

this just recently opened "brasserie on the corner" is the more sophisticated sis to the aquitaine group's union bar and grill, and is throwing around plenty of 'tude with its reclaimed wood floors, mosaic tiles and even a nicotine stained wall. okay now deep breath. tartlette aux pommes de terre integrates truffles and rich roquefort with fluffy potatoes. saumon fume delicately garnishes a chickpea blini. and the tagliatelle is a rich, short rib ragout. yes, it all sounds good. and rightfully so at their communal table hosting breakfast, lunch or dinner. which you'll gladly stay for.

and then of course, call your own little ménage a trois.
