operation fairy dust

you remember it clearly. prom night. the build-up about who your date would be. the hair. the pictures. so-and-so making out with you-know-who. you spent hours getting gorge and trying to choose the perfect dress. looking back now you can't help but wonder what you were thinking without rolling your eyes. but truth be told - if you had to do it over again, you wouldn't change a thing.

and now shopping victim, it would be a good idea to offset your daily spending habit with a good deed here or there. between now and april 30th, you can donate any less-than-five-year-old dress to operation fairy dust - a non-profit organization that helps less fortunate nyc high-school girls feel a little less overwhelmed with the idea of prom night. any non-abused frock will do, in addition to prom-appropriate handbags, jewelry and unopened cosmetics.

give a girl a dress and let her worry about more important things - like kissing the quarterback of the football team.
