drinking wine.
contributed by lindsay miller

amy winehouse is a complete disaster. which is exactly why we like her so much. the british soul chanteuse made a name for herself in the U.K. with her smoky voice and drunken antics. and whether she's slurring a cover version of "beat it" or penning tongue-in-cheek songs about refusing rehab, everything the 23-year-old does is pure rockstar material.

her first cd, "frank," was just that. the songs were vintage-sounding, sly little ditties with names like, ahem, "rhymes-with-luck me pumps." her follow-up album, "back to black," will be released stateside on march 13th. and on it, winehouse, who rocks the messiest beehive we've ever seen, sings about cheating and heartbreak with a biting sense of humor and all the charm of 60s girl groups. (think billie holiday vocals and motown beats with a heavy dose of sarcasm.)

so if you're looking for a respite from the U.K.'s starlet, corinne bailey rae, you've hit the jackpot. we're quite sure she drinks, we mean sings her under the table.
