posto marked. contributed by toni kervina
some people go purse crazy, others have it bad for shoes. but not you. you'd rather use that bonus check on an unforgettable meal. get ready to spend your dough at pizzeria posto.
when a restaurant bakes its pizza in a traditional wood oven, your interest is rightfully piqued. and when you find out their starter dough comes all the way from napoli, well, then you're sold. the former green tomato II spot has taken a turn for the european, with delish results. aside from the standard pies, choose from pasta dishes, small plates and full-sized entrée items, such as agnolotti dal plin with braised veal, swiss chard and parmesan. also in the works is a selection of specialty cocktails, so you can have a very happy hour (or hours). after all, the thrill of material possessions is fleeting, but here you can take your time.
and because enough dough really can buy happiness. pizzeria posto. 187 elm street. at miller. no phone yet. opening soon. www.pizzeriaposto.com
