the south end restaurant is located in the former home of the historic penny savings bank, now transformed into luxe condos. co-owners hemant chowdhry and mark raab hail from the SOWA restaurant group (responsible for revitalizing the area's washington street), and will offer french dishes with hints of flavors from india. and london. and singapore. sound a bit too adventurous for you? trust your palettes to exec chef ranveer who honed his chops at claridges in new delhi (that's a good thing). expect morel dusted halibut, shredded duck confit in pastry and lemongrass infused vodka cocktails with lychee puree. boston culinary vet michael murphy of mistral will oversee the resto, which is enough reason for you to go check it out.
