in the wake of dearly departed jasmine sola, pure has some big pants to fill. it's been open just a few weeks now, but it's already getting rave reviews from the denim posse. and coolidge corner has been in dire need of a fashion facelift. don't confuse them with the japanese brand pure blue; what they lack in that second "E," they make up for with a stellar collection of jeans. brands like habitual, hudson, J brand and chip & pepper make up the mix, but you can also find designer tops to match. hit the store before you hit the town for some one-stop shopping. the space is awash in, what else, blue and white. but don't think this is the place where you can gather ten pairs at once. it's admittedly narrow, so there may be some elbow knocking.

but you know what they say. no one gets between you and your blues.
