Julie Benlevi-Zeff, known as one of the world's first female bloggers, launched JULIB.com with only a few hundred readers (a.k.a. friends) from her New York City apartment in 2002. Her original focus was on distributing lifestyle and luxury editorial content via e-mail on where to go and what to do throughout New York's five boroughs. Within two years, JULIB.com catapulted into 16 different worldwide editions within the U.S. and Europe, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Boston, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, Houston, Philadelphia, Orange County, The Hamptons, Paris, London, as well as a Travel edition.
JULIB became the second largest e-zine in the U.S., catching the attention of over one million readers worldwide by 2004, and by 2008 the brand was acquired by publishing house, Modern Luxury Media. Benlevi-Zeff reacquired the business in 2010 and today, JULIB continues to deliver lifestyle and luxury content via e-mail to readers worldwide. Since first launching, it has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, Vogue Magazine, as well as in other notable publications.
The JULIB portfolio of clients since 2002 includes brands such as Citibank, Sephora, Virgin, Sony, Esteé Lauder, Jaguar, Ralph Lauren, Equinox Fitness, Tom Ford, W Hotels, Jet Blue, Stella McCartney, Wines of Spain and thousands of others .
