walk into abingdon 12 in the city's west village
and you may feel like you just stepped into a cool part of london. named after
the park just across the
street - abingdon square - this new home design store should win the award
for cheap, chic and incredibly original.
owner paul caddell and his wife recently purchased this old-school brownstone
on hudson street and converted the first floor into abingdon 12 -
a market of incredible leather stools, rusted wrought iron chairs, vintage
leather clocks,
and a whole slew of great odds and ends for the home. (lucky or unlucky for
them - they live just upstairs.)
their style: industrial vintage. their price range: unbelievably fair. their
taste: impeccable.
if you're looking for a holiday gift, beware - you may just walk out with something
for yourself.
