If you love seeing red, chances are your fella will love seeing it too. If his and hers towels are too reminiscent of a Stepford household, then matching his and her Loubs might just be the perfect solution. With the opening of Christian Louboutin's very first men's-only store, now you've got a chance to slip your guy into a pair of luxe loafers, oxfords, boots and more with Monsieur Louboutin's signature scarlet sole.
While the guys' wares have always been on sale in Lobuoutin's ladies' boutiques, this store is devoted completely to the guys. Just a few steps from the women's store on Horatio, the store is a definite man cave that happens to sell some of the best shoes a guy can get. Industrial piping, a slab of the High Line and more are a nod to the neighborhood's past. Fixtures sourced from around the world hold bags and shoes (the walls' diamond-quilted leather motifs mirror the first men's-only store in Paris) that go from bold and bright -- red spiked evening slippers and high-tops studded with pyramid spikes, thorns and rhinestones -- to classic, such as the oxfords, loafers and more that most guys will gravitate towards. The store also has a tattoo parlor, where customers can scan their body art into a machine and have it replicated on a pair of Loubs via the legendary embroiderers at Lesage. If you haven't felt the sting of the needle yourself, you'll be able to choose from some readymade images provided by Louboutin himself. There are also plenty of bags on display, mirror the shoes' styling. Running the gamut from sleek and sophisticated to punk-rock embellished, there's something for every guy no matter his style.
