To coincide with the opening of the Mandarin Oriental comes Sur Mesure Par Thierry Marx, an intimiate sensory-slash-dining experience.
A cocoon-like white palette is arresting in the space designed by Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku and makes for an apropriate backdrop to the famed chef's molecular fare (which he's been doing since the mid-nineties, so don't cry tardy to the party on this one). Marx brings his two Michelin stars to the inventive concept space, which will feature art by Heidi Winge Strom and seats for only 44 lucky diners. To keep it extra luxe (and monochromatic), the chef's foaming, glistening and artful dishes will be served on white and gold porcelain. --Toni Kervina
