One fish, two fish, red fish, blue fish. We all know how it goes. But PassionFish is anything but a nursery rhyme.
The fifth resto from the gang that brought you Ceiba, Acadiana, and Tenpenh, PassionFish is just that: an intense love for all things from the sea. But this time, the D.C.-based group has crossed the Potomac to drop anchor in Virginia, with Chef Jeff Tunks at the wheel. Set sail on your journey from a gigantic chilled seafood bar in the dining room's center (with raw delicacies like lobsters, prawns, oysters, and king crab), then dive into apps like lobster rolls in sea salt brioche or Shetland Island salmon and Kona kampachi crudos. (And that's just the appeteasers.) Reel in your appetite for main dishes like monkfish "osso buco," or a taste of the dressed-up med branzino with Chilean olive oil and Meyer lemon. And before you sail off into the sunset? Save room for a bite of something sweet with the salted caramel crème brulée with hazelnut shortbread and Nutella. You can be sure you'll be hooked in no time.
