If you’ve been looking to anchor your craving for the sea, float into Oak Cliff’s Driftwood.
This West Davis street resto opened this month and features oceanic fare drummed up by Chef Omar Flores (formerly of Abacus). Up to 50 patrons can dine on the likes of big and small plates, namely the Maine Lobster Rolls and Chargrilled Octopus, in a contemporary interior designed by Vision 360 (you’ve seen their work at Howard Wang’s Uptown). You’ll feel something like a fish in water surrounded by walls outfitted in powder blue pigment and accented by eponymous artwork. It’s more of a drinks and conversation kind of night? Skip the milky booth seats for one at the bar. With fancy cocktails like the Hibiscus Guava Sling and a handsome selection of craft beers, we doubt you’ll be drifting anywhere anytime soon.
