More About Blackwood:

Billed as Thai-American fusion, Blackwood has been opened by Steven and Ji Yeon Choi (Sweet Maple, Fred's Place). The current tenant in the old Chilayo space offers an intimate, sociable ambience, with warm lighting, mirrored walls, communal tables, tufted banquettes, and a modern fireplace. The menu includes classic Thai starters like five stars duck and satay, while the larger plates delve more into the fusion side of things, with creative inventions like the Finger-Lickin’ (wok-fried chicken breast, hearts of palm, Kaffir lime, Kachai, young peppercorn, in red curry paste and coconut milk, served with rice). The breakfast and brunch menus are more heavily American featured, but the bottomless mimosas transcend any cultural differences that might remain.
