More about The Yeatman :
You don’t have to be an oenophile to appreciate The Yeatman, but it sure doesn’t hurt. The hotel, nestled in the picturesque hillside of Oporto, Portugal, along the Duoro River, would be remiss not to capitalize on the locale's namesake drink (i.e. port).
The extensive collection of Portuguese wines cool it in the cellar, where you can enjoy intimate private dining. Alternatively, request to eat your coriander-infused carbonara with shellfish al fresco on the sun terrace. If the tannins go to your head, stop by the Caudalie Vinothérapie Spa, take a dip in one of the two infinity pools, or get lost for a while in the property’s gardens. The hotel is also eco-friendly, and we’re not just talking a little recycling. They use solar panels to heat the water supply, rainwater for irrigation, reverse osmosis for water purification, low energy lighting, and photovoltaic cells to help generate electricity. All in all, not a bad place to enjoy a flight or two. Make it your next port of call. --Toni Kervina
