Want a true culinary experience? Uber-chef Alain Ducasse sets up shop in Provence with La Bastide de Moustiers, a mashup of hotel and resto that results in complete culinary nirvana.
Ducasse's right had (wo)man Sarah Chailan is head of hospitality and Chef Christophe Martin mans the burners at this tiny inn. While there are just a dozen rooms, each comes with amenities like bikes (so you can explore the region on your own) and picnic baskets for you to take into the fields. Ducasse even chose the antiques that pepper the property himself. And the culinary part involves a menu from Martin that changes every day -- you get two choices for lunch and two for dinner -- all in true Provençal style. Just one visit and you'll be dreaming about the amazing meals until your next visit.
